This position is accountable for leading and coaching a unionized production team and ensuring the efficient operation of manufacturing. You will also meet and exceed objectives related to service, quality, cost and speed that meet or exceed customer requirements and organizational objectives.
Responsibilites:
- Meet daily production objectives and manage each shift with respect to production efficiencies, effectively utilizing corporate resources, labour, equipment, quality, safety, uptime, and materials.
- Supervise a team of hourly employees with regards to a high level of interaction with team members
- Ensure regulatory compliance with respect to cGMP's through enforcement and compliance of company SOP's
- Ensure and promote the implementation of quality, health & safety, and productivity improvements
- Identify, investigate correct and document potential problems
- Resolve technical problems that arise and coordinate line changeovers
- Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
Qualifications:
- University Degree ( B.Sc preffered)
- 5+ years experience in a supervisory role
- Demonstrate ability to manage a unionized manufacturing environment
- Excellent interpersonal & organizational skills
- Strong problem solving & analytical skills
- Prior experience in food and/or beverage industry an asset
