Description: Hi Everyone. My name is Sean Demers. I am a Can fit pro certified fitness instructor. I am considering starting a beginner level plyometrics class in January. Before I invest in the equipment I am getting the word out to see how much interest there is in doing this. If you think this might be something you'd be interested in; send me an email at WindsorPlyometrics@gmail.com with "Windsor Plyometrics" in the subject line. I will use the quantity of emails I receive as a basic idea on the demand for such a class. If this class does go forward I will send emails out with information on how to sign up. Elite athletes from track and field, running, football and hockey to combat sports have used plyometrics to improve their skills for many years. This has always been something exclusive to these athletes? But why? Well that is changing. I am bringing plyometric training to the general population. Whether you are looking to improve your ability in your favourite sport or just want to enhance your general level of fitness, than this is your opportunity to try something fresh and new. Plyometrics - The beginning is an introductory class in plyometrics. This class will introduce proper technique starting from the most basic plyometrics exercises with the use of special plyometric equipment. The class will be the first step in moving to higher level classes which will be available in future sessions. Below are some sport specific benefits of doing plyometric exercises. Remember this class is just as beneficial for every day life so yo don't have to be involved in any kind of sports to get the benefits of this class. Also this class will benefit many other types of sports than the ones listed below. Baseball - Faster swing, faster pitching, faster running/accelerating speed. Basketball- Improved agility, improved jumping, improved coordination. Running-Improve overall speed, improve bone and joint straight therefor reducing the chance of injury, increased sprinting speed for stronger finish. Hockey-Improved agility, faster skating speed, faster skating acceleration, improved reflexes, improved balance, improved co-ordination. Football-Faster off the line, improved agility, faster sprinting. Golf-Faster swing, improved flexibility, improved co-ordination. Cycling-improved climbing, faster leg turnover, improved sprinting.
